How to make Aloo Paratha


For The Dough:

  1. Wheat flour- 450 gms
  2. Ajwain- 1 tsp
  3. Salt- 1 tsp
  4. Water to need

For Stuffing:

  1. Potato/aloo(medium)- 5-6(medium)
  2. Fine chopped green chillies- 2-3
  3. Garam masala- ½ tsp
  4. Coriander powder- 1 tsp
  5. Chopped coriander- 2 tbsp
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Enough oil for baking


  1. Boil, peel and mash the potatoes.
  2. Take flour in a vessel and add salt, ajwain and enough water.
  3. Mix well to make a soft dough, cover and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  4. Add coriander powder, green chillies, salt and garam masala into the mash potatoes.
  5. Add chopped coriander and mix well to the stuff.
  6. Make small balls of dough and roll them finely using flour.
  7. Spread stuff on round disc and cover it with other disc.
  8. Seal the edges if it difficult use some water as glue.
  9. Roll again lightly for 2-3 times.
  10. Place a non stick pan at medium flame and put the disc on it.
  11. Oil both sides of the paratha and bake till golden brown.
  12. Serve hot with chutney or pickle.
