How to make Paneer Butter Masala



  1. 400 gm Paneer(cheese)
  2. 3 tbsp Butter
  3. 5 tbsp Puree tomato
  4. 3 Blanched and pureed Onions
  5. 1½ tsp Garlic ginger paste
  6. 1½ tsp Turmeric powder
  7. 1½ tsp Coriander powder
  8. 3 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  9. 3 tbsp Cashew nut paste
  10. 1½ Cup Cream(Fresh)
  11. 1½ tsp Garam masala
  12. Salt to taste


  1. First cut paneer(cheese) in small cubes.
  2. Now fry the small paneer cubes.
  3. Make them soft by soaking in warm water.
  4. Now heat the butter, fry onion puree until it turns light brown.
  5. Now stir above mixture with garlic-ginger paste, fry for a minute.
  6. Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, cashew paste, tomato puree, Kashmiri chilli powder and salt, fry for few minutes again.
  7. Add the paneer cubes and little water, cook it until the gravy becomes thick.
  8. In last step garnish with fresh cream.
  9. Paneer butter masala is ready to serve.
