How to make kadai paneer


  1. 500 gms cheese cubes
  2. 2 tbsp ghee or butter
  3. 3 onions, chopped
  4. 1 cup tomato puree
  5. 1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  6. 1/2 tsp roasted & pounded coriander seeds
  7. 1/2 tsp black pepper
  8. 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  9. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  10. salt according to your taste
  11. 1 small green, yellow & red capsicums, chopped
  12. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  13. 1/4 tsp green cardamom powder
  14. A pinch clove powder
  15. A pinch cumin powder
  16. 1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped


  1. Grind 2 onions to make a fine paste.
  2. Heat ghee or butter in a pan.
  3. Add remaining chopped onion and fry quickly until brown.
  4. Add onion and ginger-garlic paste, move slightly for a minute.
  5. Then add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, stir-fry until they change color.
  6. Then add tomato puree, paneer cubes, capsicum and salt.
  7. Finally add the cumin, cardamom and clove powder.
  8. Cook paneer on slow flame till the paneer is well cooked.
  9. Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve hot.
